Contigo is a premium tequila built on the belief that two vibrant cultures share more than they realise. The name means "with you" in Spanish—a promise of togetherness that resonates across borders. We created a brand identity and packaging system that honours both: small-batch highland agave craftsmanship, and the bold warmth of Indian celebration, resulting in a spirit that brings people together through shared moments of joy.
CHALLENGE
The challenge was building an authentic premium tequila brand that could compete with established global names while telling a genuinely cross-cultural story. We needed to navigate complex regulations, appeal to Indian palates and celebration traditions, and create packaging that felt true to both cultures—without exoticising either, whilst maintaining the craftsmanship and quality expected from premium spirit. The brand had to educate a new market about tequila culture that felt familiar and welcoming.
CONCEPT
We positioned Contigo as the spirit of shared celebration, shared rituals, drawing parallels between Mexican fiestas and Indian festivals—the warmth of family, the boldness of flavour, the joy of coming together. The visual identity merges agave field tones with the vibrancy of Indian textile traditions. Every bottle tells a story of two cultures meeting, not one absorbing the other. The result is a tequila that doesn't choose between cultures but brings them together, creating something entirely new while respecting what makes each special.
